Processing Time and Fee
Processing time vary from country to country and usually take between 5-7 business days to complete. Fees for visa also vary and most embassies require applicants to contact them directly to check the most updated fee. You will also need to pay for the prepaid courier if you do not plan to pick up the visa in person.
Visa Application Declaration
With regards to visa inquiries, you can contact Foreign Residents Support Center (FRESC) MOFA Visa Information or the Japan Visa Information Hotline listed on the website of the Embassy or Consulate General of Japan. Due to the complex nature of visa requirements, we are UNABLE to respond to visa-related inquiries made through this website at the moment. We advise you to contact the Consular Section of the Embassy or Consulate General of Japan nearest you for more information and advice.
SECT organizing committees hereby reiterates that we are NOT authorized to assist any Visa application works. We, here includes the organization itself, all conference secretariats, international liaisons and any individuals or parties related to NLPIR. It is clearly stated on all websites that no other documents would be provided except the Invitation Letter issued by the Conference Committee Board. We understand there're some embassies require Letter of Guarantee. Hence, we'd like to emphasize that Letter of Invitation is different from Letter of Guarantee.
Letter of Invitation
A Letter of Invitation is a proof that your paper submission and registration application are accepted by the conference committees board. It perhaps could help with your visa application. However, it does not guarantee you a visa.
